Terry R. Smith, 63, of Carmel, passed away on July 1, 2013. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa on February 19, 1950 to Robert and Ruth Smith. Terry graduated from Iowa State University in 1973. He married Pam Hollingsworth, also of Des Moines, in 1971. They had two children, Jeffrey and Sarah. Terry and Pam have presided in Indiana since 1988. Terry received a heart transplant in 1997, which allowed him 16 more years with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Pam; his children, Jeff (Anne) Smith and Sarah (Jim) Meegan; granddaughter, Brigid Mary Meegan. A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Indianapolis. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the service.
